Gribbins Insulation Adds Safety Coordinator, Kent Kafka

Evansville, Indiana – In its ongoing commitment to exceeding industry safety standards, Gribbins Insulation announces the addition of Kent Kafka as Safety Coordinator. In his new post, Kafka reports to Trevor Atherton, Safety Manager, and notes he is excited about working with fellow Safety Coordinators, Rick Jordan and Connor McCoy. Kafka brings over 20 years of expertise to Gribbins, including prior experience as an Indiana OSHA Industrial Hygiene Compliance Officer, as well serving as an Industrial Hygienist/Safety Consultant. In describing what drew him to Gribbins, Kafka explains, “Gribbins’s outstanding reputation for safety, and literally, a room full of safety awards, and the opportunity to perform training attracted me to the position.” He adds, “What I find most impressive about Gribbins’s projects is the use of the latest technology and state of the art methods of producing and installing insulation, all while using the safest methods and going beyond what the OSHA standards require.” In discussing his responsibility as a member of the Gribbins team, he states, “As a Safety Coordinator, the key role is to serve as a resource for insulators and provide an additional pair of eyes, and options on how to perform the job safely as a team.”

Kafka holds a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Science degree, both in Microbiology, from the University of Illinois. His professional certifications include Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, Licensed Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Project Supervisor, Water Damage Restoration, and Applied Microbial Remediation. Kafka is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association local chapter.

A native of Aurora, Illinois, Kafka has resided in the Indianapolis area for more than two decades. Although based in the Gribbins Indianapolis office, he will conduct training and provide support at the various Gribbins facilities and project sites. In his personal life, Kent is actively involved in his children’s sports and musical activities.

Allie Redman Joins Gribbins Insulation as Payroll Administrator

Evansville, Indiana – Gribbins Insulation continues its growth with the addition of

Allie Redman as Payroll Administrator. Prior to joining Gribbins in May 2017, Redman served as Payroll Administrator at Custom Staffing in Evansville, Indiana. Additional career experience includes fours years on staff at Kenco Management in Mount Vernon, Indiana. Redman is seeking an Associate degree in Accounting at Ivy Tech Community College Southwest, with plans to pursue a Bachelor degree at University of Southern Indiana. In her most recent term at IVY Tech, Redman earned Dean’s List honors.

In describing what drew her to Gribbins, Redman shares, “Between their outstanding reputation for safety, friendly family-owned staff, consistent growth and success, as well as exceptional mission to maximize customer satisfaction, I couldn’t have found a better company to work for and I am proud to say I am Gribbins Insulation’s Payroll Administrator!”

Redman is a native of Mount Vernon, Indiana, and currently resides in Evansville, Indiana.

Sincere Best Wishes to Faye Davidson, Retiree

Faye Davidson, Gribbins longtime payroll staff member, retired from Gribbins on May 26, 2017. The happy occasion was observed with an in-house celebration among co-workers in Evansville.

Impressive Numbers Relating to the Career Span of a Numbers’ Person

Since joining Gribbins in 2000, Faye Davidson has seen our company experience tremendous growth. When Faye started, Gribbins had 78 employees. Upon her retirement, the average number of employees in the last year was 250—that’s more than three times the number of Faye’s original co-workers! And from all 250 of us, Congratulations to Faye—we appreciate your many years of service to Gribbins.

Gribbins Insulation Adds Assistant Controller, Joy Veatch

Joy Veatch - Assistant ControllerEvansville, Indiana – Gribbins Insulation announces the addition of Joy Veatch to its team. With over 10 years experience in construction accounting, Veatch now serves as Assistant Controller, a position newly created at Gribbins. Her primary responsibility is assisting Gribbins’ Secretary-Treasurer, Patrick Wahl. Veatch’s key duties include job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and payroll management. In describing what drew her to Gribbins, Veatch explains, “My knowledge of Gribbins Insulation began through office-to-office communications during my time at Peyronnin Construction. I am most impressed with the level of professionalism that encompasses Gribbins Insulation.”

Prior to joining Gribbins Insulation in March 2017, Veatch served as Accounting Supervisor at Peyronnin Construction in Evansville, Indiana. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana. Currently, Veatch is pursuing accreditation from the Construction Financial Management Association as a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP).

A native of Newburgh, Indiana, Veatch is committed to community. She volunteers as a horse leader for Riding Hope, a therapy and adaptive riding program for area children with special needs.
